Our Satisfaction Guarantee
If you are not satisfied with the quality of any IBC tote you receive from us, contact us within the warranty period and we will make it right. Our satisfaction guarantee is simple: if the product does not match our description or fails to meet the quality standards we promised, we will replace it or refund your purchase price.
We inspect every container before it leaves our facility, but we understand that occasional issues can slip through or become apparent only after you begin using the product. When that happens, we want to hear about it immediately so we can resolve the situation quickly and learn from the experience.
Our goal is not just to make a sale -- it is to earn a long-term customer. That means standing behind every product we sell, responding promptly to every concern, and treating every customer interaction as an opportunity to demonstrate why businesses across America trust IBC Totes USA.
100% Satisfaction Promise
If your tote does not match our description, we replace or refund -- no questions, no hassle.

Extended Warranty Options
For customers who want additional peace of mind beyond our standard warranty periods, we offer extended warranty plans that provide longer coverage, expanded protection, and priority support.
Extended Basic
For: Used IBC Totes
Ideal for businesses using used totes in non-critical applications where a longer coverage window provides valuable protection against latent defects.
Extended Standard
For: Reconditioned IBC Totes
Our most popular extended warranty. Provides a full year of coverage for reconditioned totes used in food, beverage, chemical, and industrial applications.
Extended Premium
For: Reconditioned & New Totes
Maximum protection for businesses that rely on container quality for critical operations. The included reconditioning service extends useful life significantly.
Preventive Maintenance Programs
The best way to avoid warranty claims is to prevent problems before they occur. Our preventive maintenance programs help you maximize the lifespan of your IBC totes, reduce downtime from container failures, and maintain consistent quality in your container fleet.
Preventive maintenance is especially valuable for businesses that reuse IBC totes across multiple fill cycles. Over time, gaskets degrade, valves develop wear patterns, and HDPE bottles may show signs of UV exposure or chemical stress. Proactive replacement of these wear components prevents leaks, contamination, and container failures that could disrupt your operations.
Annual Container Inspection
We inspect every tote in your fleet on an annual basis, evaluating bottle condition, cage integrity, valve operation, gasket elasticity, pallet stability, and overall safety. Each container receives a pass/fail/recommend-replacement assessment with a detailed report. Cost: $15 per tote for on-site inspection (minimum 20 totes).
Gasket & Valve Replacement Program
Gaskets and valve seals are the most common failure points on IBC totes. Our replacement program proactively swaps these wear components at recommended intervals (every 12-18 months for active totes), preventing leaks and extending container life by 2-3 additional fill cycles. Cost: $8-15 per tote depending on component type.
Container Reconditioning Service
For totes that have completed multiple fill cycles, our full reconditioning service restores them to like-new condition. This includes thorough cleaning, pressure testing, gasket and valve replacement, cage repair, and pallet inspection. Reconditioning extends useful life by 3-5 additional cycles at a fraction of new container cost. Cost: $35-65 per tote depending on condition.
UV Protection Program
For customers storing IBC totes outdoors, UV degradation is the primary threat to bottle integrity. Our UV protection program includes application of UV-resistant covers, periodic UV exposure assessment using spectral analysis, and proactive bottle replacement recommendations before UV damage compromises structural integrity.
Maintenance Cost vs. Replacement Cost
Preventive maintenance dramatically reduces your total cost of container ownership. Here is the math for a typical 275-gallon reconditioned IBC tote:
Investment: $140-180
Investment: $150 + $12/year
Investment: $150 + $50/year
With proper maintenance, the cost per fill cycle drops by 50-75%, making reconditioned IBC totes one of the most cost-effective bulk container options available.
Warranty Registration Process
All IBC totes purchased from IBC Totes USA are automatically covered under our standard warranty from the date of delivery. No separate registration is required for standard warranty coverage. However, registering your containers provides additional benefits:
To register your containers, email your order number and container quantities to info@ibctotesusa.comwith the subject line “Warranty Registration.”
Warranty FAQ
Answers to the most common questions about our warranty coverage, claims process, and protection options.
When does my warranty coverage begin?
All warranties begin on the date of delivery, not the date of order or the date of shipment. The delivery date is documented in your shipping confirmation and delivery receipt. If you pick up containers from our facility, the warranty begins on the date of pickup.
Can I purchase extended warranty after my initial purchase?
Extended warranty plans can be added within 14 days of delivery. After 14 days, extended warranty is not available for containers that have already been put into service, as we cannot verify the condition at the time of the warranty extension request. For future orders, extended warranty should be specified at the time of purchase.
What happens if my container fails just outside the warranty period?
We evaluate out-of-warranty claims on a case-by-case basis. If a container fails within a reasonable period after warranty expiration and the failure appears to be related to a reconditioning defect rather than normal use or wear, we will often provide a goodwill replacement or credit. We want to maintain your trust, and rigid warranty cutoffs do not serve that goal.
Does the warranty transfer if I sell the tote to another business?
Our standard warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser. If you resell a tote to another business, the warranty does not transfer to the new owner. Extended warranties are also non-transferable. This policy ensures that we can verify container handling history and maintain accountability.
Are accessories and replacement parts covered by warranty?
Yes. Accessories and replacement parts purchased from IBC Totes USA carry a 30-day warranty covering manufacturing defects and functional failures. This includes valves, gaskets, adapters, caps, liners, and heating blankets. Warranty does not cover wear from normal use, damage from chemical incompatibility, or improper installation.
What constitutes "improper handling" that voids the warranty?
Improper handling includes: dropping or impacting the container, overfilling beyond rated capacity, stacking beyond recommended height limits, storing incompatible chemicals without verifying HDPE compatibility, modifying the container structure (cutting, drilling, welding), operating forklifts with forks that do not match pallet pocket dimensions, and exposure to temperatures beyond rated limits (below -40F or above 150F for HDPE).
How do I prove the container was defective and not damaged during my use?
We do not place the burden of proof entirely on the customer. When a claim is filed, our quality team evaluates the reported issue against the documented condition at the time of shipment, the nature of the failure, and the expected performance characteristics of the product type. We maintain inspection records and photos for every container we ship. For ambiguous cases, we err on the side of the customer.
Can I get a warranty on containers used for non-standard applications?
Our standard warranty applies to containers used within their rated specifications and intended applications. If you plan to use IBC totes in a non-standard application (e.g., as structural elements, aquaponics systems, or art installations), we are happy to advise on suitability, but warranty coverage for such applications would need to be discussed on a case-by-case basis.

Contact Our Support TeamDetailed Exclusions & Limitations
We believe in complete transparency about what our warranties do and do not cover. Understanding these details upfront prevents misunderstandings and ensures you have appropriate expectations for your purchase.
What Is NOT Covered
Chemical Incompatibility Damage
If the stored product attacks, dissolves, or degrades the HDPE bottle, this is not a defect in the container -- it is a mismatch between the container material and the product. Always verify chemical compatibility using our HDPE compatibility chart on the sizing guide page before storing any new substance.
UV Degradation After Delivery
HDPE is UV-stabilized but will eventually degrade with prolonged sun exposure. Containers stored outdoors without UV protection that develop crazing, discoloration, or embrittlement are experiencing normal environmental exposure, not a product defect. We recommend UV covers for outdoor storage.
Damage from Improper Stacking
Stacking containers beyond the recommended height, stacking on uneven surfaces, or placing heavy loads on containers with compromised cage integrity can cause cage collapse, bottle deformation, or pallet failure. These failures result from use conditions, not product defects.
Normal Wear and Tear
Gaskets naturally lose elasticity over time. Valve handles wear from repeated operation. Cosmetic scratches and minor dents accumulate from handling. These are expected results of normal use and are not covered as defects.
Customer Modifications
Any modification to the container -- drilling holes, cutting openings, welding attachments, removing cage components, or altering the valve assembly -- voids the warranty. We can perform custom modifications to order; modified containers carry a separate modification warranty.
Consequential Damages
Our warranty covers the cost of the container itself (replacement or refund). It does not cover consequential damages such as product loss from a leaking container, environmental cleanup costs, production downtime, or third-party claims. We recommend appropriate business insurance for these risks.
